2. Department Overview:

  • Brief description of the department: is Nodal agency under the Commissioner of Industries & Commerce, Assam responsible for promoting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Cottage and Village Industries. It provides single window services, including registration, entrepreneurial training and implementation of Government schemes. 

     

  • Established Date: 10-03-2005.

 

 

  • Core functions and responsibilities: The DICC functions within the framework of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) to foster economic development in the council.

     

  • Main objectives: To promote, facilitate and support the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as village and cottage industries at the district level.
