Construction and maintenance of embankments, Flood control and anti-erosion measures, Installation and maintenance of sluice gates, River bank protection works ( Geo bag, Geo-tube, porcupine, etc.)
Monitoring of water levels during flood season, Implementation of State and Central sponsored schemes
Main Objectives:
Protection of life and property from flood hazards, Prevention of river bank erosion, Sustainable water resource management, Timely execution of government projects
