Manas National Park is located in the North-Eastern state of Assam, on the banks of the River Manas. Manas National Park experiences a tropical climate, with summer temperatures remaining below 37ºC and winter temperatures averaging around 11ºC. The monsoon season, which extends from May to September, brings substantial rainfall, typically around 160 cm, often leading to flooding within the park. Manas primarily enjoys two major tourist seasons - winter and summer. It is advisable to avoid visiting Manas during the monsoon season due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall causing flooding in the area.
Manas National Park is slowly taking a peak in popularity and has become must must-visit for local and international travelers. This pristine park is well known for wildlife, especially the wild water buffalo and the exciting jeep and elephant safaris.
